Enjoy the beauty and serenity of the mountains by taking a hike either on the resort or a short distance away.

Feel free to hike our horse trails or have Adventure Outfitters direct you to nearby hiking trails, hikes to water falls, riverbanks or an adventurous excursion to Meadow Creek Mountain Fire Tower with amazing views of the North Carolina Mountains and Tennessee’s Mountains and Rolling Hills.

Horse rentals

We work with a Trail Guide who can take you out on the trails for a horse ride. This is for beginner to experienced riders.  Lessons are also available.

Reservations are required. The fee is $25 per hour per horse.

We’ll reserve your whitewater rafting adventure and provide directions to our recommended outfitters on the French Broad River in hot Springs, NC or on the Pigeon River in Hartford, TN – both approximately a 30 minute drive where an experienced guide will take you and your family or friends on an exciting adventure.

Go on a hayride!

Tour the resort and neighboring Autumn Dancer Llama Farm.Visit the llamas, miniature mules and Belgian horses at the Miller Ranch. Learn about llamas, their history and contributions and the history of the large Belgian work horses.

Also learn the history of the original Peter’s Farm – an 840 acre parcel awarded to Abraham Peters for services rendered in the America Revolutionary War. Once a 4-mule farm with primary cattle and tobacco. There remains the old tobacco barns, tobacco staging and the old farmhouse built in 1921.
